Assam: Man Falls into Drain Trying to Retrieve Dropped mobile Phone in Dibrugarh

Guwahati: The footpaths in Dibrugarh have become a hazard for pedestrians, despite being reopened following the Supreme Court’s directive.

In a recent incident that occurred in KC Gogoi Path of Dibrugarh has highlighted the dangers posed by the poorly maintained footpaths.

According to reports, a person was walking on the footpath when his mobile phone fell into a drain.

While attempting to retrieve it, he himself fell into the drain. The drain’s design made it impossible for him to get out, prompting a public outcry.

A crowd gathered at the spot and was forced to break the footpath slab to rescue the person trapped in the drain.
