Assam: New Superintendent of Police Takes Charge in Lahorighat, Launches Crackdown on Illegal Activities

Guwahati: Diganta Baruah, the newly appointed Superintendent of Police in Morigaon’s Lahorighat, has swiftly demonstrated his commitment to maintaining law and order since taking charge.

Upon assuming his responsibilities, Baruah intensified efforts to crack down on illegal shops and unnumbered vehicles in the Lahorighat market.

The police operation successfully removed e-rickshaws that were violating traffic laws, providing relief to local residents who had long been affected by these issues.

Despite previous complaints to the Lahorighat police, it was only after Baruah took charge that decisive action was taken to address the problem.

Under Baruah’s leadership, the Lahorighat police have effectively carried out long-standing tasks, clearing the market of illegal activities.

Local residents are hopeful that the area will continue to see improvements under the new Superintendent’s leadership.

The crackdown is a clear indication of Baruah’s commitment to maintaining order and ensuring community safety.
