Assam: Terrible Fire in Nagaon District, Woman Burned Alive
Guwahati: A devastating fire broke out on a busy road in Assam’s Nagaon district, tragically claiming the life of a woman who was burned alive in the incident. The deceased has been identified as Amrun Khatun.
According to initial reports, the fire is suspected to have originated from a short circuit in a local shop. The flames quickly spread, engulfing nearby areas and creating panic among local residents and shopkeepers.
Firefighting teams rushed to the spot promptly after receiving the alert and managed to bring the blaze under control. Despite their swift action, the unfortunate loss of life has cast a shadow of grief across the community.
Authorities have launched an investigation to determine the exact cause of the fire. Meanwhile, the body of Amrun Khatun has been sent for post-mortem examination.
