Sikkim’s Chief Minister Offers Solace to Former Governor in Siliguri Hospital
Gangtok: Sikkim Chief Minister Prem Singh Tamang yesterday made a compassionate visit to Neotia Hospital in Siliguri, where former Governor of Sikkim, Ganga Prasad, is currently receiving medical attention following a recent health emergency. The Chief Minister, accompanied by his official team, personally engaged with the medical staff to understand the intricacies of Mr. Prasad’s condition, while also offering heartfelt prayers for his swift recuperation.
Shortly after his visit, CM Tamang took to social media to convey his sentiments, stating, “On behalf of the people of Sikkim, I extend my heartfelt wishes for his speedy recovery and continued good health in the days ahead.” The gesture underscores the strong bond shared between the present and former leadership of the Himalayan state.
Ganga Prasad, who held the gubernatorial office in Sikkim from 2018 to 2021, is known for his affable nature and a tenure marked by significant public engagement and close collaboration with the state government. His relationship with the Sikkimese leadership has consistently been characterised by mutual respect and warmth.
