Arunachal Pradesh Deputy CM Meets Assam CM to Discuss Developmental Issues
Itanagar: Arunachal Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Chowna Mein met with Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma on June 7 to discuss various developmental issues concerning the two states. During the meeting, Mein extended a formal invitation to CM Sarma to attend the Birth Centenary Celebration of Bharat Ratna Dr. Bhupen Hazarika, scheduled for September in Roing.
On behalf of Arunachal Pradesh Chief Minister Pema Khandu and the people of the state, Mein invited Sarma to join in the celebrations, which aim to commemorate the musical legacy of Dr. Hazarika. Mein highlighted the significance of Dr. Hazarika’s contributions, stating that his timeless compositions continue to inspire generations and serve as a bridge of cultural unity and brotherhood between Assam and Arunachal Pradesh.
The deputy CM emphasized that the event will be a celebration of the enduring bond between the people of the two states, and not just a tribute to a legend. Mein expressed his enthusiasm for the event, which promises to be a significant occasion in honouring the musical maestro’s legacy.
