The delegation raised concerns over alleged illegal encroachment by Assam’s Forest Department and demanded adherence to the 2023 MoU signed between the two states.

The key demands placed before the Chief Secretary included:

The delegation requested the immediate stoppage of illegal bombing, urgent dialogue with the IAF, and prompt communication with the Government of Assam to honor the MoU.

Chief Secretary Manish Gupta assured the delegation that the government would examine the memorandum carefully and take appropriate steps to address the concerns raised. He promised to look into the matter and ensure that necessary actions are taken.
