Assam: 35 injured in head-on collision between two buses on NH 15 in Biswanath

Guwahati: In a major road accident, around 35 has been injured when two buses collided head-on at Pratapgarh in Biswanath district of Assam on National Highway 15.

The incident involved a night bus (AS15C7131) that was severely hit from behind by a Pranjit bus (AS01HC7777).

Among the injured, two individuals identified as Dhiren Biswa and Pranjit’s handyman, Hari Hazarika, was sent to Tezpur in critical condition.

The remaining injured is receiving treatment at the Biswanath District Hospital.

The authorities are likely to investigate the cause of the accident, which may be attributed to factors such as driver fatigue, speeding, or poor visibility.

The rescue efforts were promptly executed, and the injured were shifted to nearby hospitals for medical attention.

The local administration and emergency services responded immediately to the incident, providing necessary assistance to the affected individuals.
