Arunachal: Papum Pare DC Intervenes to Boost Film Institute Construction

Itanagar: Papum Pare Deputy Commissioner Vishakha Yadav has stepped in to address the mounting delays in the construction of the Arunachal Pradesh Film and Television Institute (FTI) campus at Jote. Following concerns over the project’s sluggish progress, Yadav conducted an inspection on Thursday, revealing critical infrastructure gaps that have stalled the completion of key buildings.

The inspection highlighted several primary bottlenecks hampering construction teams, including water supply shortages, unreliable electricity connections, inadequate security provisions, and poor transportation access. These gaps have significantly impacted the progress of the project, prompting the Deputy Commissioner to take swift action.

Yadav directed contractors and government departments to establish fixed completion dates for all pending structures and mandated weekly progress updates to prevent further setbacks. This move aims to ensure timely completion of the project and bring the construction back on track.

The review meeting brought together key stakeholders, including FTI Deputy Registrar Deepak Kumar, Balijan Circle administrative staff, Public Health Engineering Department officials, electrical specialists, CPWD representatives, and executives from contractor M/S Kenge Construction. This collaborative approach is expected to facilitate a speedy resolution to the existing challenges and ensure the successful completion of the FTI campus.
