BTS Announces Spring 2026 Comeback with New Album and World Tour
Entertainment: BTS fans around the globe have reason to celebrate as the world’s biggest K-pop group has officially announced a full-fledged comeback, set for spring 2026. In a surprise 30-minute livestream on Weverse on Tuesday, all seven members—Jin, Suga, J-Hope, RM, Jimin, V, and Jung Kook—appeared together for the first time since 2022, confirming the long-awaited reunion.
During the broadcast, the group revealed they will begin working on a new group album starting this July, promising it will reflect “each member’s thoughts and ideas” and channel the energy of their early days. “We’re approaching the album with the same mindset we had when we first started,” BTS shared, igniting excitement across the ARMY fandom.
The album will be followed by a world tour, with BTS planning to visit fans worldwide. “We hope you’re as excited as we are,” the members said, though they stopped short of revealing specific tour dates or cities.
BTS has been on official hiatus for nearly two years, during which members pursued solo projects and completed or began their mandatory military service. Their last group performance was during the Permission to Dance on Stage tour in 2021, which drew over 4 million fans globally.
Their return to group activities will begin next month with music recording sessions in the U.S., setting the stage for what promises to be one of the biggest global music comebacks of the decade.
While fans had speculated about a March return based on a Korea Herald report, BTS has only confirmed a general “spring” timeframe for their comeback.
The group’s last album, Proof (2022), was a compilation that included new tracks and career-spanning hits. Since then, each member has stayed musically active:
• Jung Kook: Golden (2023)
• V: Layover (2023)
• Jimin: Face (2023), Muse (2024)
• Suga: D-Day (2023)
• Jin: Happy (2024), Echo (2025)
• J-Hope: Jack in the Box (2022)
• RM: Indigo (2022), Right Place, Wrong Person (2024)
With all seven artists soon to reunite creatively, BTS’s return is expected to be a landmark cultural moment—one that not only redefines their legacy but re-energizes the global music landscape. The countdown to BTS 2026 is officially on.
