Mysterious Disappearance: Shillong Woman Found 1,500 Km Away, No Recollection of Journey
Shillong: In a baffling turn of events, a 31-year-old woman from Nongmensong, who went missing four days ago from Shillong, has been located approximately 1,500 kilometres away near railway tracks in Uttar Pradesh. Janice Angel Mary Sawian, who vanished on July 1, was discovered by authorities on July 4, but remains unable to shed light on how she traversed such a vast distance.
Her family had promptly filed a missing person report at the Nongmensong Police Outpost when she did not return home on the evening of July 1. The case has since taken a perplexing turn due to the extraordinary distance separating her last known location in Shillong and her discovery in Uttar Pradesh, raising more questions than answers.
Uttar Pradesh police have ensured Sawian’s immediate medical attention, transporting her to a local hospital for evaluation. Concurrently, her family, accompanied by personnel from the Meghalaya police, have embarked on the journey to Uttar Pradesh to bring her back home. The unusual circumstances surrounding her disappearance and subsequent recovery are currently under investigation, with authorities yet to disclose further details about her condition or any potential breakthroughs in the ongoing probe.
