Gangtok – The Sikkim Bhutia Lepcha Apex Committee (SIBLAC) today threw its full weight behind His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama, reaffirming deep respect and solidarity with his enduring mission of peace, compassion, and harmony. The influential organisation’s statement comes as the spiritual leader prepares to celebrate his 89th birthday on July 6.
In a poignant message, SIBLAC wholeheartedly welcomed and endorsed the recent pronouncement by the Tibetan spiritual leader concerning the continuity of the revered institution of the Dalai Lama. The committee unequivocally declared its strong backing for His Holiness’s decision to perpetuate this sacred spiritual tradition, believing it will benefit all sentient beings. The organisation also offered earnest prayers for the long life and robust health of the Dalai Lama.
“We stand firmly with His Holiness the Dalai Lama. His life and profound teachings have consistently illuminated the path of love, tolerance, and truth,” SIBLAC articulated in its statement. “In a world increasingly marked by unrest and division, His Holiness continues to be a beacon of inspiration for millions, spreading his message of non-violence and spiritual unity.”
The apex body further stressed the critical importance of the Dalai Lama’s guidance for fostering peace, not just within Tibet and the Himalayan region, but globally. It highlighted his unwavering faith in the tenets of compassion, environmental stewardship, and mutual respect among diverse religions as qualities humanity desperately needs.
