Eyewitnesses recounted a scene of absolute pandemonium as towering flames lit up the night sky, casting a pall of fear over traders and residents in the vicinity. While initial reports hinted at a delayed response, the fire department, deploying ten engines from various stations, mounted a swift and coordinated operation. Their relentless efforts, spanning nearly four hours, brought the inferno under control by approximately 4:00 AM, crucially preventing its spread to the larger, adjoining market area.
