The discovery, made on July 22, has further intensified the ongoing crackdown on illegal narcotics in the state.
The cash cache was unearthed during a meticulous search of the residence of Thangmaljohn, located in Suangdoh village. This operation comes days after authorities had already seized a quantity of narcotics from the very same property. Reports indicate the sizeable sum was found carefully concealed within a bag at the residence, raising immediate suspicions about its origins.
