Guwahati: A horrific head-on collision late last night on National Highway 715 near Baghjan, under the jurisdiction of Jakhalabandha Police Station, left three individuals critically injured. The incident involved an Alto car (AS 01 AH 3496) and a trailer truck (PB 02 CR 8544), bringing traffic to a standstill for a period.
All three occupants of the Alto car sustained grievous injuries in the high-impact crash. They have been identified as Abhishek Roy from Hatigaon, Guwahati; Shyam Shah, a resident of Bihar; and Sanjay Dey from Jamunamukh, Hojai.
Emergency services swiftly transported the injured to the Kaliabor Sub-Divisional Civil Hospital for immediate medical attention. However, given the severe nature of their injuries, all three were subsequently referred to Guwahati for specialized treatment and advanced medical care.
Local police have launched an investigation into the accident to ascertain the precise circumstances that led to the devastating collision.
