IMPHAL – In a significant development aimed at strengthening security and stability, senior officials from the Border Security Force (BSF) on Friday met with Manipur Governor Ajay Kumar Bhalla to provide a comprehensive briefing on the law and order situation along the state’s sensitive borders. The high-level meeting took place at the Raj Bhavan and focused on the force’s ongoing efforts to ensure peace in the region.
BSF Additional Director General (ADG) Mahesh Kumar Aggarwal, along with Inspector General of the Mizoram & Cachar Frontier, Ravi Kant, apprised Governor Bhalla about the BSF’s robust operational preparedness. The discussion highlighted the force’s critical role in securing the border, especially amid persistent tensions that have been a matter of concern. The officials presented an overview of the strategic measures being undertaken to tackle the evolving security landscape.
