Chief Minister Receives Esteemed Blessings, Heralds Era of Spiritual Harmony

Gangtok: In a move that underscored the deep-rooted spiritual connection between the state’s leadership and its monastic traditions, Sikkim Chief Minister Prem Singh Tamang today welcomed two venerated spiritual leaders, H.E. Chogtrul Pema Kundrol Rinpoche and H.E. Chogtrul Jurme Yeshi Dorjee Rinpoche, to his official residence.

The visit, a quiet yet significant affair, saw the Chief Minister receive blessings from the revered lamas of the Enchey Monastery, a moment he later described as profoundly moving.

Speaking on the occasion, the Chief Minister said he was truly honoured and deeply delighted by their presence. “Their visit brought a profound sense of peace and spiritual warmth,” he stated, expressing his immense gratitude for their blessings and guidance.

The Chief Minister also took the opportunity to extend his heartfelt best wishes to the monks, praying for their good health, happiness, and continued strength in their noble mission of spreading wisdom and compassion across the Himalayan state.

The meeting, which took place in a serene setting, is being seen as a symbol of the government’s respect for and commitment to upholding the rich cultural and spiritual heritage of Sikkim.
