Sikkim Prepares for Mega Blood Donation Camp to Honour Spiritual Leader

Gangtok: Gangtok is gearing up for a significant community event as a mega voluntary blood donation camp is set to be held on August 22 at Thakurbari, commemorating the 18th ascension day of the revered spiritual leader, Rajyogini Dadi Prakashmani Ji.

The initiative, a joint effort by the Brahma Kumaris’ Social Service Wing Gangtok and the Alpine Riders Crew MC, aims to promote the noble cause of saving lives, aligning with the organisation’s core mission of selfless service.

In a vibrant prelude to the main event, a special motorbike rally was flagged off from White Hall today. The Deputy Mayor of Gangtok Municipal Corporation, Tshering Palden Bhutia, officially initiated the rally in the presence of Sonam Didi, the Brahma Kumari Incharge for Sikkim. The sight of the Alpine Riders Crew MC revving their engines for a humanitarian cause drew considerable attention, setting a positive tone for the upcoming camp. Dadi Prakashmani Ji, a figure celebrated for her profound spiritual guidance and administrative acumen, was instrumental in expanding the Brahma Kumaris organisation across the globe. Her legacy of uniting people and her unwavering commitment to humanitarian service continue to inspire millions. Organisers hope the blood donation camp will not only be a fitting tribute to her memory but also a powerful statement on the importance of voluntary blood donation in the region.
