Arunachal: East Siang DC Stresses Inter-Departmental Synergy for Timely Project Completion
Pasighat: East Siang’s Deputy Commissioner, Sonalika Jiwani (IAS), presided over a pivotal District Level Monitoring Committee (DLMC) meeting at the DC’s Conference Hall, urging various government departments to fast-track the implementation of ongoing schemes, flagship programs, and infrastructure projects. The gathering served as a comprehensive review of the district’s development trajectory, with a special focus on streamlining coordination and ensuring the optimal use of public assets.
During the meeting, the DC scrutinized the monthly District Development Report, which showcased a steady stride in development indicators, including the law and order situation. Jiwani laid strong emphasis on the critical need for seamless inter-departmental collaboration, highlighting it as the cornerstone for the smooth and timely execution of all projects.
She issued a clear directive to all executing agencies, mandating them to keep user departments well-informed about the progress of their respective works. Emphasizing the accountability of the administration towards its citizens, Jiwani stressed the importance of proper maintenance and optimum utilization of all government assets. “Every asset created, be it public infrastructure or public libraries, must serve its intended purpose and benefit citizens in the true spirit of the government’s vision,” she stated, underscoring the government’s commitment to public welfare.
Jiwani further encouraged the Heads of Departments (HoDs) to foster innovation within their domains and directed nodal agencies to explore sustainable revenue-generating models from both public and government assets. This proactive approach, she noted, is crucial to meet the public’s expectations and ensure the long-term viability of development projects.
The meeting also addressed the imperative of adhering to strict deadlines and maintaining impeccable quality standards in all project implementations. Departments were collectively asked to proactively resolve any issues raised during the session to guarantee a holistic and balanced development of the district. The DLMC meeting was attended by a host of senior officials, including Nodal Officer Tatak Mibang, PD DRDA Tajing Padung, ADC Mebo Nancy Yirang, and Dy.SP Ayub Boko, among others.
