Assam Mason Found Dead Under Mysterious Circumstances in Kerala
Malappuram, Kerala: The dreams of a better life for an Assamese migrant worker have been tragically cut short, as he was found dead under puzzling circumstances in Malappuram district on Thursday.
Ganesh Roy, a 33-year-old mason from Chot Nilibari village in Assam’s Chirang district, was discovered lifeless on his bed, leaving his co-workers in a state of shock and disbelief.
Hailing from a family in Runikhata, Roy had ventured to Pottagel, Malappuram, seeking employment in the bustling construction sector. His colleagues report that he was in good health just the night before, making his sudden death all the more perplexing. The discovery of his body in the morning sent waves of concern through the migrant worker community.
Upon being alerted, the Kerala police promptly arrived at the scene. They have since recovered the body and sent it for a post-mortem examination to determine the precise cause of death. Meanwhile, Roy’s family back in Assam, including his wife and young son, have been informed of the tragedy. Arrangements are being made to repatriate his body to his native village in Chirang for the final rites. As the police await the post-mortem report, the circumstances surrounding his death remain shrouded in mystery.
