President of India Ram Nath Kovind has donated around 5 lakh rupees for construction of Ram temple in Ayodhya after he met with a delegation of the Ram Janmbhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust. The trust’s treasurer has earlier announced that the cost of constructing the Ram temple complex will be around ₹1,100 crore and the funds would be collected from general public through a nationwide drive.
The fund collection campaign will be carried out across 52,50,00 villages in India and the money collected will be deposited in banks within 48 hours. Although funds above Rs 20,000 will be collected through cheques.
