Take measures to help youth related to tourism: Assam LOP to Govt
Guwahati: Leader of Opposition at the Assam Legislative Assembly Debabrata Saikia on Friday said that since CAA movement in Assam, businessmen along with the general population related to the Assam Tourism sector have been facing a massive financial crisis.
Saikia said that the previous government announced a scheme by the name Prayatan Sanjeevani Scheme where the government was to provide loans ranging from Rs 1 lakh to Rs 20 lakh to the youth so that they can take new initiatives in order to start their livelihood. But, this announced scheme was not implemented.
This particular loan was to be provide to the young entrepreneurs who were associated with the tourism department in the state.
Debabrata Saikia has now urged the state government to immediately implement the scheme in order to give some relief to the people who have suffered due to various reasons.
