MLA assures to repair roads of Boxer Lovlina’s home village

Guwahati: MLA Biswajit Phukan has assured to repair the roads of Boxer Lovlina Borgohain’s native village before she comes back to her hometown in Golaghat’s Baromuthia.

Soon after Lovlina booked another Olympic medal for India on July 30 after her win in the women’s welterweight category over Chinese Taipei’s Nien-Chin Chen, MLA Biswajit Phukan took the decision to reform the road connecting to Lovlina’s home town, Baromuthia village which was left in a pathetic situation.

The MLA said that reforming the road is a gift to Lovlina and he further appealed to the people of Assam and the country as a whole to pray for Lovlina so that she can get bring the Olympic gold medal home.

He stated that Lovlina is such a great example for all the girls from the small villages.

He further added that he will try his best to make a proper sports infrastructure in the Golaghat district and hoped for Assam Chief Minister’s support over these issues.
