Four minors runaway with “Lovers” in Silchar
Guwahati: Four girls including three minors have escaped from a government-run shelter in Assam’s Silchar.
According to reports four girls, among whom three were 17 years old, ran away from Ujjwala Shelter Home in Silchar.
The in-charge of the shelter home, Gaurab Chanda said that the four girls escaped on Monday by breaking the “lock” of the main door.
He further claimed that the girls eloped with their “lovers”. Meanwhile, an FIR was filed at Rangirkhari police station by the in-charge of the shelter home.
Addressing the media, Superintendent of Police Ramandeep Kaur said that following the FIR, the police had already started an inquiry and the girls would be brought back soon.
