Facilitation Centre to track visitors entering Meghalaya inaugurated
Guwahati: A facilitation centre to keep track of the people entering Meghalaya was set up by Chief Minister Conrad K Sangma in North Garo Hills at the Mendipathar Railway Station.
CM Sangma said that this facilitation centre will keep a record of all visitors entering the state through the station. This will also enable the district administration to effectively monitor the flow of visitors from neighboring Assam and outside the region.
Apart from this Sangma also stated that the government is setting up a Rs 100 crore food park in Mendipathar which will emerge as a preferred destination for investors as it will have the requisite infrastructure and rail connectivity.
