Teacher Caught Red Handed Allegedly Taking Bribe
Guwahati: The Head Assistant of Lanka High School in Hojai was caught red-handed for allegedly taking bribes by the Directorate of Vigilance and Anti Corruption, Assam.
The person identified as Bikash Rai was caught red-handed for allegedly taking a bribe of Rs 10000. Bikash had demanded Rs 64000 from a retired teacher of the Lanka High School for processing his “leave encashment matte” and had already taken Rs 25000 from him.
Following Rai’s frequent demands, the retired teacher registered an FIR against him for allegedly demanding a bride.
Special General of Assam Police, G P Singh in a tweet wrote, “In another case, One Bikash Rai, Head Assistant, Lanka High School, Hojai has been caught red-handed while accepting bribe of Rs 10000 by a team from Directorate of Vigilance and Anti Corruption, Assam.”
