NSCN-R cadre surrenders in Tirap
Guwahati: On Monday, a cadre of the National Socialist Council of Nagaland-Reformation (NSCN-R) surrendered in Tirap before the Deputy Commissioner.
He was reportedly a self-styled private and was identified as Telom Hangsik of Old Kothung village in Tirap. The cadre while surrendering handed over one .32mm pistol along with one round of ammunition and a magazine.
He had surrendered on one condition that he will be allowed to lead a normal life with his family. However, authorities have claimed that legal proceedings will still be taken against him if he was found to be involved in anti-national activities.
