Guwahati: The petrol price in Guwahati increased by 0.79 per litre. This is for the first-time time that petrol price in Guwahati has breached the Rs 100 mark.
As of now, petrol costs Rs 100.7 per litre in Guwahati.
Since last week, the continuous hike in the price of fuel has impacted various other sections of Assam, with many districts already reaching the century mark.
This increase in prices of the fuel is the 10th hike this week all across India, while the prices have been hiked 13 times already since September 24.
Earlier on Saturday, the price of diesel was also hiked by 37 paise and currently, the diesel in Guwahati stands at 92.47 per litre.
It may be mentioned that the price for the Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) was also increased by Rs. 15 on 6 October, in Assam.
