Two Suspected Rohingya detained in Jammu
Guwahati: Two suspected Rohingya Muslims were detained for questioning from an Army camp in the outskirts of Jammu.
The detained persons have been identified as Abdul Amin and Abdul Salam.
As per reports, the suspected persons were detained while they were found moving in a suspicious manner outside the army base at the Purmandal village of Jammu.
The Police officials informed that both of them were carrying valid identity cards issued by the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR).
Later, the detainees have been handed over to the Special Operations Group of local police for questioning after the investigation of their mobile phones revealed contact numbers from Pakistan and Myanmar.
