Tiger Shroff will be the Free Fire Brand Ambassador for the Esports Premier League (ESPL) in 2021

While the World Esports Cup 2021 (WEC ’21) is poised to display the finest rivalries, Bollywood star Tiger Shroff has pledged his support for the Indian team and its gamers, who are battling for the championship and a massive prize pool of $100,000. Apart from India, the competition will feature the greatest esports athletes from Pakistan and Nepal, India’s arch-rivals.

The B-town action heart-throb came out in support of Indian gamers in a special video, as well as welcoming participants from Nepal and Pakistan, as South East Asia’s prestigious tri-nation esports tournament is set to kick off on November 25 with the top gamers competing in one of the most popular battle royale games, Free Fire. The Bollywood phenomenon will bring esports to the mainstream, promoting the WEC ’21 campaign #GameHaiToFameHai, which encourages gamers to show off their best game in exchange for awards and industry exposure.

“Esports has a lot of promise in India and throughout the world.” I’m very looking forward to supporting Indian gamers in this action-packed mega competition, and I encourage fans to join us in showing their support for the competitors.” Shroff explained.

This isn’t Tiger’s first foray into the world of esports. The actor, who is known for his love of sports and mixed martial arts and has a large following among millennials and Gen-Z, was appointed as the brand ambassador for the 2021 Esports Premier League, which was a huge success across the country.

The event will take place over three months, with 33 days of live streaming on India Today and Aaj Tak’s official YouTube and Facebook channels, as well as their respective websites.

Following the regional qualification stages, the top four teams from each nation will compete in the WEC ’21 Grand Finals.

“Tiger cheering on the Indian contingent would go a long way toward making the competition especially memorable and fascinating to watch,” World Esports Cup director Vishwalok Nath said. Not to mention the historic rivalry that has been a blockbuster in cricket and will now be witnessed in esports, where the greatest tactics, coordination, and tactical talents will be put to the test.”

Registration for the inaugural edition of the WEC ’21, sponsored by Infinix Smartphones, will open on Saturday, October 23rd, and athletes and esports aficionados from all three areas will be able to register until November 23rd.
