Guwahati: More than 20 students were tested COVID-19 positive in a Senior Secondary School in Darrang district of Assam.
According to reports, on Saturday, a Covid test drive was conducted upon around 165 persons including the students, teachers, and other staff members of the institute where 22 students were tested positive for the COVID-19 virus.
Following the cases, the Darrang district administration has immediately shut down the educational institute for at least seven days.
It may be mentioned that educational institutes were allowed to open recently after the Assam government relaxed the Covid19 restrictions following the improving number of COVID-19 cases in the state.
