Gautam Gambhir approaches Delhi police after receiving death threats from ISIS Kashmir
Guwahati: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader and former India cricketer Gautam Gambhir approached the Delhi Police after receiving alleged death threats from ‘ISIS Kashmir’.
According to reports, a complaint was filed by Gaurav Arora on behalf of MP Gautam Gambhir, which was received via DD No. 01-A dated 24.11.2021 in PS Rajinder Nagar, Central District, alleging that an unknown person sent an email on 23.11.2021 on Gautam Gambhir’s email ID regarding a threat to kill him and his family members,
Following the complaints, the security has been beefed up outside Gambhir’s residence and an investigation into the matter is carried out by the officials.
It may be mentioned that Gambhir was elected to the Lok Sabha from East Delhi on a BJP ticket in 2019. Prior to entering politics, Gambhir played 15 years of international cricket for India, including a key role in the country’s 2011 World Cup victory.
