Guwahati: A 7th-semester student of Tezpur University (TU) reportedly committed suicide in her hostel on campus.
The student has been identified as Aditi Swar who was in her seventh semester of study. On Friday morning her mortal remains were found in her hostel room where she reportedly committed suicide after she had not opened the door of her room for a long time. She was a resident of the Dibrugarh district in Assam and was living in the ‘Kapili’ Girls Hostel in the university.
