Royal Enfield issues recall for Classic 350 motorcycles
Guwahati: Royal Enfield has issued a recall for 26,300 2021 Classic 350 motorcycles. The problem is with the brake reaction bracket linked to the motorbike swing arm on the Classic 350 motorcycles with single-channel ABS and rear drum brakes from 2021.
According to Royal Enfield, it was determined that under certain riding situations, an unusually strong braking pressure applied to the rear brake pedal could cause damage to the response bracket. This could result in exceptional brake noise and possible braking efficiency degradation under extreme conditions.
The problem has been narrowed down to the Classic 350 cars with single-channel ABS and rear drum brakes that were manufactured between September 1 and December 5, 2021. Royal Enfield has issued a recall for 26,300 single-channel ABS and rear-drum-brake equipped Classic 350 motorcycles to reinforce the brake reaction bracket of the swing arm on all units as a precaution.
