Guwahati: The Job fair organized by the Skill, Employment, and Entrepreneurship Department across the State on Thursday drew thousands of job seekers but ended with disappointment of mismanaged event and suspension of officials.
The Government of Assam has taken serious cognizance of the mismanagement of the job fair that was held in various districts of Assam on December 23. As per the direction of Skill, Employment, and Entrepreneurship Minister Chandra Mohan Patowary, two officials namely T. Doungel, Joint Director Employment, and Lipika Datta Assistant Director Employment have been suspended for failing to arrange the event properly.
Job seekers of different places had assembled in the event with their qualified degrees but had to face disappointment.
