Guwahati: In the ongoing war against drugs, Assam Police arrested three more suspected drug peddlers in Guwahati.
Guwahati Police Special squad led by Joint Commissioner Police Partha Mahanta continuing their operation against drugs in the city arrested the interstate drug peddlers and seized two trucks, one i20, and eight mobile phones, and recovered an amount of total Rs 1,22000 from their possession.
In the last eight hours, a total of five interstate drug peddlers were arrested from the Lalmati area of Guwahati, and drugs worth around 10 crores were seized.
The five arrestees were identified as Dilbar Ali, Sagir Ahmed, both are from Manipur, and Masud Ahmed, Mohmmad Samid from Up. The other one named Mehbub Alam Phulbari Meghalaya
The squad has further seized around 70000 contraband tablets from the accused.
Legal action has been taken and further investigation is underway.
