Assam boy Sidharth Sinha to command his regiment during R Day parade

Guwahati: Assam boy Siddharth Singha from Karimganj district will command his regiment during the Republic Day parade on Rajpath in New Delhi.

Siddharth started his journey on November 21, 2020, and he is now assigned to the 16 Madras Engineering Regiment.

It may be mentioned that because his father was stationed in Hyderabad during that time, the young man from Karimganj attends an Army School in Hyderabad from grades 1 to 12.

Moreover, before joining the army, he graduated from Madras Engineering College with a bachelor’s degree in engineering. Laxmikanta Sinha, Siddhartha’s father, served in the Army for 30 years before retiring.

Every year on January 26, the Republic Day parade in India draws a large crowd of Indians and visitors from around the world.

The president unfurls the tricolour, which is followed by the marching of many Armed Forces units, including the Army, Navy, and Air Force, as well as their bands.

The Armed Forces bands perform an Indian Beating Retreat ceremonial to bring the celebrations to a close. On the evening of January 29, the third day after Republic Day, the ceremony is held.

Hearing the news, villagers of the Patharkandi area of the district along with people across the state beaming with joy and happiness.
