Guwahati: A daylight robbery took place in the Lachit Nagar area of Guwahati on Friday, where two unidentified men allegedly looted Rs 3 lakhs.
According to reports, the two miscreants were on a motorcycle when the incident occurred.
The money was owned by the Indane- Guwahati’s Nabajyoti Gas Agency.
However, two agency employees were taking cash to deposit at the bank.
It may be noted that the stolen cash was supposed to be deposited in a bank account of a branch named Bank of Baroda.
The incident took place in front of KFC and the entire heist was captured on CCTV.
It may be mentioned that a case has been registered in Paltan bazaar police station and further investigation into the matter is underway.
