Guwahati: In the ongoing war against drugs Assam Police two suspected drug peddlers in Guwahati.
The arrestees were identified as Ashok Kumar Das & Md Mausam Ali. Both are residents of the Mathgharia area of the city.
Following an input, Central Guwahati Police District (CGPD) SOG in a joint operation with a team from Noonmati Police station recovered 1.42 of suspected Heroin and arrested the two accused.
The officials further seized seven vials, two mobile phones and recovered Rs 5000 cash from their possession.
Sharing the news on Twitter Guwahati Police wrote, ”
Based on an input; ACP Noonmati, CGPD SOG & a Noonmati PS team arrested Ashok Kumar Das & Md Mausam Ali of Mathgharia & recovered 1.42 gms heroin, 7 vials, 2 mobile phones & ₹ 5000/- from their possession at the former’s house. Legal action has been initiated.”
Legal action has been taken and further investigation is underway.
