Guwahati: One person was killed while four others sustained severe injuries in a road accident in Assam’s Darrang district on Sunday.
The incident took place at Gabhara Dalanghat in Dipila of the district.
According to reports, the vehicle slammed into the railings of a bridge on the Dipila – Borbori road.
In the incident, one people died on the spot and four person was severely injured and was sent to GNRC hospital in North Guwahati for treatment.
The deceased was identified as Joynath Sharma and the other injured persons were identified as Anjali Sharma, Rupjyoti Sharma, Mitali Sharma and the driver Deepak Sharma.
The registration number of the car involved in the collision was AS 15 G 4517.
As per the reports, the victims were returning from Sonapani of Udalguri district and was on their way to Borbori of Darrang district after they had attended a wedding.
