Arunachal: Miram Taron kicked, blindfolded and given electric shock, father alleges

Guwahati: Miram Taron, the Arunachal boy who was allegedly abducted by the People’s Liberation Army (PLA) of China was blindfolded, kicked, and given a mild electric shock, his father claimed.

Miram Taron met his family after 14 days. The Indian Army handed over Miram Taron to his family on Monday.

Miram’s father, Opang Taron, stated that his son was terrified and mentally drained as a result of the incident.

Taron was allegedly blindfolded for more than a week while in the People’s Liberation Army’s (PLA) custody, according to his father.

“He’s still reeling from the experience. Initially, he was kicked in the back and given a mild electric shock. During his detention, he was blindfolded for the majority of the time and his wrists were tied. Only when he needed to eat or relieve himself were they allowed to untie him.
