Assam: Bhaichung Bhutia Visits Kaziranga
Guwahati: Football legend Bhaichung Bhutia is on a 3-day visit to Kaziranga National Park in Assam along with his family.
The former footballer and his family arrived at the National Park on March 15. The family went on a jeep safari in the Bagori forest after they arrived.
As per reports, Bhutia and his family took a visit of the Kohora central range on March 16.
Bhutia is visiting the national park for the third time.
According to Bhutia, he was invited to Assam to visit the Numaligarh Refinery campus’s football stadium and academy.
The Footballer said that “This is my third visit to Kaziranga, but my first time with children. This place makes me feel fantastic. In the park, we saw rhinos, elephants, and a variety of birds. We were unable to visit tigers due to a scheduling conflict.”
Bhutia further stated of the state’s football scenario that “Football in Assam is definitely growing gradually. It’s encouraging to see a rise in the number of players from the state competing in events like the ISL. There is reason to believe that this tendency will continue.”
