Guwahati: A 6-year-old minor has been killed in a road accident in Barpeta district of Assam on Thursday.
The incident took place in the Baghbor road of the district.
According to reports, the minor was allegedly killed by an e-rickshaw.
Meanwhile, locals staged a protest over the occurrence by burning tyres on the road, creating a tense atmosphere in the area.
Furthermore, residents barricaded the road, stranding hundreds of vehicles on the highway.
