Guwahati: One more criminal sustained injury in a police encounter in Goalpara district on Tuesday might.
The incident occurred at the Rakshyasini area of the district.
The accused was identified as Abdul Rahman alias Rinku. He was shifted to the Goalpara civil Hospital for further treatment.
Police officials further informed that Rinku recently on March 12 allegedly kidnapped a person named Bikash Rabha who, a residence of the same village and sold him at the Bagladesh border for Rs 5 lakhs.
It may be mentioned that later, after the arrest of Rinku the police officials launched a search operation and recovered Rabha from Meghalaya.
It may be mentioned that Rinku has been accused of several crimes earlier.
