Pulwama: Two militants of proscribed terror outfits Ansar Ghazwat-ul Hind and Lashkar-e-Taiba were killed in an encounter with security forces in the Tral area of Pulwama district on Wednesday, police said.
According to a police official, the two militants are Ansar Ghazwat-ul Hind’s Safat Muzaffar Sofi alias Muavia and LeT’s Umer Teli alias Talha.
He claimed the two were wanted in a number of terror cases, including the assassination of a sarpanch in Srinagar’s Khonmoh neighbourhood earlier this year.
He said that the two had lately relocated to Tral.
