Nadabet: Amit Shah Inaugurates Border Viewing Point
Guwahati: Union Home minister Amit Shah inaugurated a border watching station on the international border between India and Pakistan in Nadabet, Gujarat’s Banaskantha district on Sunday.
The viewing point was constructed along the Punjabi border of Wagah-Atari.
According to the Gujarat Tourism website, Nada Bet is a little spit of land jutting into a vast lake where tourists can participate in “Seema Darshan” or border observation.
According to officials, the state tourism department is developing Nadabet, which is located on the India-Pakistan border, as a tourist attraction destination at a cost of Rs 125 crore under the Seema Darshan Project.
The initiative was launched with the goal of allowing inhabitants of the country to witness directly the lifestyle of Border Security Force (BSF) members who are continually protecting their motherland, as well as their living conditions, duties, and patriotism.
It further added that in Nada Bet, there is a weapon display and photo gallery with weapons, tanks, and other advanced devices that assist keep the border and inland areas secure. A camel show is given for the tourists as an ode to camels and to exhibit their ability and discipline.
Shah will attend a Golden Jubilee celebration of the National Cooperative Dairy Federation of India Limited in Gandhinagar later in the day.
Shah will also inaugurate the Gandhinagar office of the Gujarat State Co-Operative Marketing Federation, GUJCOMASOL. He will start the Adarsh Sahakari Gram Program in Ahemdabad this evening.
