Guwahati: A youth student died on the sport in Assam’s Nagaon district after his two-wheeler hit a roadside tree in Kampur village.
The deceased has been identified as Kangkan Saikia aged around 15 years. Kangkan was a resident of Forest Colony of the village.
As per the sources the incident took place in front of the Premeshwar Baruah Primary School as he lost control over bike because of overspeeding and after that the bike hit the roadside tree, the boy fell on the road resulting his death on spot.
Moreover, Kangkan was a student of Class 9 of Shankar Dev Bidyaniketan school of Kampur.
Meanwhile, the police officials from the nearby police station reached the spot of the incident and recovered the dead body.
It may be mentioned that several road accidents are reported on a daily basis from different parts of Assam which results in great loss of life and severe injuries. There are numerous causes of road accidents including overspeeding, avoiding safety gear like helmets, driving in a drunken state, red light jumping and other distractions.
