Assam Govt Hands Over Appointment Letters to 22,958 Recruits
Guwahati: In order to fulfil the BJP led Assam government’s promise to provide 1 lakh jobs to the youths, the Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma today provided appointment letters to 23,000 youths in 11 departments of the state.
The departments include education, water resources, social work, PHE, and Public Works Department, among others.
The mammoth appointment distribution ceremony, which is taking place at the Veterinary College Playground in Khanapara of Guwahati, is part of the Assam government’s resolve to employ 1 lakh unemployed youth.
He also asked the new recruits to strive hard for the state’s success.
Sharing the news on Twitter, Sarma wrote, “A momentous occasion for all of us as we are on course to redeem our pledge to provide 1 lakh jobs to youth of Assam. By handing over appointment letters to 22,958 recruits in 11 departments, we have tried to set a new precedence in transparent appointments to government jobs.”
