Assam: CID To Re-Examine Applicants’ Candidature

Guwahati: The crime investigation department (CID) of Assam Police on Tuesday announced that it will re-examine the credentials of applicants who provided incorrect information during the recruiting process.

The CID has said that it will look into as many as 414 candidates who allegedly lied during the recruitment process.

According to reports, the CID has also opened a case with the number 5/2022.

The government had previously stated that several candidates’ computer certifications had been proven to be fraudulent after they had passed the examinations.

It may be mentioned that the candidates had petitioned the High Court to investigate the case, and the court ordered the CID to re-verify the applicants’ credentials.

Candidates must now submit their qualification certificates to the department for re-verification.
