Guwahati: Two siblings were suspected to have been abducted from Hatigaon area of Guwahati city on Friday.
The two children-a 13-year-old girl Ismaira and a 4-year-old boy Atif Ali were reported missing from their home in Sijubari area of Hatigaon.
Though it is unclear if they were being kidnapped or had run away, police officials suspect that their mother, who had recently divorced her husband, was the one who had taken them away.
“Their mother and father recently divorced. We’re investigating whether the mother has discreetly taken them away because the father isn’t available today. “An investigation is underway,” according to police sources.
