Guwahati: The degree sixth semester exams for all courses have been postponed by Gauhati University. Earlier, the exam was scheduled to be held from June 29 and is rescheduled from July 4.
GU is requesting that the Deputy Commissioner of each district provide the necessary assistance through DDMAs to ensure a smooth conduct of the examination wherever it is needed since majority of the districts are engulfed in floodwater.
The university authority has also issued the exam routine which is available at https://notification.gauhati.ac.in/college/examination
The decision was made in light of the flooding scenario in various state districts.
Exams for the sixth semester have been postponed twice by GU. These tests were originally supposed to start on June 25.
“The 6th semester Under Graduate exanimations under Gauhati University which was scheduled to start from 29.06.2022 has been rescheduled from 04.07.2022. The Deputy Commissioner of different districts are being requested by G.U. to extend necessary assistance through DDMAS for smooth conduct of the examinations wherever required in flood situation,” the notification reads.
“It is also informed that as reflected in some media the university has not announced any alternative mode of examination,” it further reads.
